Wetlands International (WI) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Forestry Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and Forestry Department of Selangor (JPNS) had successfully organised a site visit and training workshop program at Pantai Sungai Haji Dorani, Selangor on 4th May, 2024 with participation from the local communities of Tanjung Kepah, Lekir, Perak.

The main purpose of this site visit program was to give the participants an early exposure about the Building with Nature wave screen that has been installed at Pantai Sungai Haji Dorani by FRIM. The training was divided into five sessions; 1) Introduction, 2) Design and Function of Skrin Ombak Telap, 3) Monitoring and Maintenance of SOT, 4) Mangroves and Monitoring Works and 5) Breakout Group Discussion.
