Mangrove Restoration Program at Tanjung Karang, Selangor (in collaboration with ExxonMobil)

As part of their CSR initiatives, ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. had successfully planted a total of 700 mangrove seedlings (Rhizophora apiculata & Rhizophora mucronata) at Banjar Utara Forest Reserve (Bagan Pasir) on October 5th, 2024. This program is in partnership with Selangor State Forestry Department, Pantai Kelang District Forest Office and Wetlands International aims to rehabilitate the mangrove ecosystem within the area that provides important ecological, economic, and social values for the communities. In addition, side activity was carried out for children (below 11 years old) mainly to instill the awareness on the importance of this ecosystem.
