QL Resources Berhad has been committed to the mangrove restoration program since year 2022, contributing to a total of 5,000 mangrove seedlings planted at a regular planting site called Hutan Simpan Banjar Utara. This year, their planting area was changed to another planting site located at Tanah Kerajaan Teluk Rhu, Sabak Bernam with the same vision to transform the bare degraded land at this site into a flourishing mangrove ecosystem. This effort was done in partnership with Wetlands International, Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah (PDT) Sabak Bernam, Jawatankuasa Pembangunan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JPKK) Kampung Sungai Apong, Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Selangor (JPNS) and Pejabat Hutan Daerah Pantai Kelang. A total of 2,000 mangrove seedlings (Rhizophora apiculata & Rhizophora mucronata) were successfully planted on October 19th, 2024 by 150 participants from QL Resources Berhad.
