With today’s modern amenities and the convenience of urban life, the connection between wetlands and livelihood is being disassociated. Clean water is readily available from turning on the taps, fish and related products are abundant in supermarkets. The role of wetlands in these daily resources of ours is lost.

Local communities have depended on wetlands for centuries as a source of livelihood. Today,  ---- people still depend on wetlands for their livelihood worldwide.

In our Malaysia office, we have worked with a range of local communities to ensure that wetlands have a positive impact on the livelihood on the communities who depend on it and vice versa, that these wetland resources are used in a sustainable way.
